Crusades
The Crusades began from around 1095 to 1299, the two sides of the conflict were the Christians and the Muslims that controlled Jerusalem and the surrounding areas. Pope Urban II declared war against the Muslims to try to take back The Holy land and rid the Muslims from it. Some weapons that were used in the war are Swords, Axes, Spears, and Trebuchets. Later on in the war, They used guns and cannons. The death toll of the war was around 2 million deaths. There was no actual count but this is an approximation. In the end there was no winner of the war, both sides lost many lives and there was no victor. The Crusaders did not manage to take control of the Holy Land. To this day The Catholic Church does not admit what they did was good or bad so they do not apologize for their actions.
